This Privacy Policy applies to the ShopRemind White application for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by BUG BOATS LIMITED (collectively, the “Application”). BUG BOATS LIMITED is referred to in this policy as the “Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application does not require account registration and is not designed to collect, sell, or use personal information for targeted advertising.
When the Application is used with an active internet connection, limited technical information may be transmitted automatically as part of normal network communications. This may include an ephemeral IP address, device type, operating-system version, language settings, request time, and basic diagnostic information. This information is used only to maintain connectivity, reliability, security, and support.
Shopping lists, reminders, notifications, and local content
Depending on the features you choose to use, the Application may request permission to send notifications or access local device storage. These permissions are used only to let you create, organise, save, and receive alerts for shopping reminders, lists, notes, and related content.
Shopping lists and reminder content are intended to remain on your device unless you deliberately export, back up, synchronise, or share them through a feature provided by your device or a third-party service.
Does the Application collect precise real-time location information?
No. The Application does not collect precise real-time location information from your mobile device.
Do third parties see or have access to information obtained by the Application?
The Application may rely on app stores, operating-system providers, notification services, hosting or infrastructure providers, and services you choose when exporting, backing up, synchronising, or sharing content. These third parties may process limited information under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the Service Provider, or others.
What are my opt-out rights?
You may stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application using the standard uninstall process available on your mobile device or through the applicable app store.
You may also disable notifications or other permissions through your device settings. If you contact the Service Provider or voluntarily provide information, you may request deletion of that information by using the contact details below.
Data retention
The Application is designed primarily for local use. Shopping lists, reminders, preferences, recent items, and similar workspace content remain on the device until you delete them in the Application, clear local data, reset the device, or uninstall the Application.
Limited diagnostic or support information received by the Service Provider is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes, and is then deleted or anonymised.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process. No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
You are responsible for keeping your device, operating-system account, backups, and any connected sharing or synchronisation service secure.
Children’s privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.
